On becoming a REAL employee

Tomorrow I become a real employee. Yes, that's right... no more unpaid intern/piss boy. Tomorrow I become paid intern/piss boy. Exciting, isn't it?

Tomorrow morning I have a meeting with some of the other employees to discuss the design of the application, and then I start working on it.

AND, (yes, there is more) because the network systems admin guy is leaving, I get to gank one of the computers he was using and use it. No more butt slow 133mhz Latitude Laptop.

I think that Latitude is going to need a vacation on a tropical island to recover from what I've been doing to it. Its performance grinded to a halt about 3:00 today; I got pissed off enough to reboot.

Of course I was running Outlook 98, Visual Developer Studio, Visual Interdev, SQL Server, Access, Internet Explorer, Communicator, and Notepad. Apparently 40 megs of ram couldn't handle it too well...

After tomorrow, I will be a PAID employee. I'm psyched.
